Builds for windows and linux
10:34 - By LaurentJ - Fresh Meat - 8 comments
You will find latest binaries of BlueGriffon (nightlies) for windows and linux here:
I built the linux version on Ubuntu 8.04. I hope it works on other distro.
In the future, we will try to provide binaries for all plateforms at the same time.
Remember that this builds are for test only. We are still far from having a full featured BlueGriffon.

The Linux version doesn't work.
./bluegriffon
Cannot find mozilla runtime directory. Exiting.
./bluegriffon-bin
./bluegriffon-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libxpcom_core.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
However libxpcom_core.so does exist...
Sorry, I forgot a file in the package. You can retrieve it from here http://bluegriffon.org/freshmeat/ni... and copy it into the bluegriffon directory.
I updated also the package. Thanks for this feedback.
Yes, the run-mozilla.sh script is missing, and the bluegriffon script has an hardcoded path (/usr/local/lib/bluegriffon-0.1) as compile-time libdir, probably working on LaurentJ config...
It works.
However, there is no intuitive way to close a tab and I really miss the syntax highlighter HTML editor most web IDEs have.
Found a bug, first of all you can't reopen the sidebars if you close them (or at least I can't figure out how... View menu option would work). Although you probably already know about that, the actual bug is that if I add a module to a sidebar and then close it, I cannot add the module to the other sidebar (because it has already been added in the CLOSED one!)
If it were up to me I'd fix it by closing all the modules in a sidebar when the sidebar is closed. This would also result in the sidebar reopening empty, though.
OR
I'd make it so the Add menu shows modules that exist in closed sidebars. When such a module is selected, it is closed in the invisible sidebar before being added to the other one.
It works nicely in Ubuntu 8.10 as well.
Ubuntu 8.04 64bit
Have this: ./bluegriffon-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-glib-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I downloaded the Windows-Binary.
But when I start the bluegriffon.exe I got a message:
Not configured correct, install again!
How can I install BlueGriffon?
Thanks Jan
